BT TV Android App Error Code GJ999

BT TV App Error Code GJ999

Hi

Issue: Cannot login to my BT TV android app. It always displays a GJ999 error code upon trying to login. It has been fine, up until now.

Device: Huawei P20 Pro with up-to-date android patches.

Things I have checked: -

* My email address is correct and my password is correct
* My BT ID login is set up
* My BT TV account is linked to my BT ID
* My BT ID account role is listed as 'Account Holder'
* Closed app and restarted on numerous occasions
* Cleared data and cache
* Uninstalled and reinstalled
* TV and Sport Tool page isn't loading - This page isn't working - support.bt.com didn't send any data - ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
* BT TV App is working fine on my iPad
* BT Sport app is working fine on my android
* I have BT Broadband Infinity 2 so I'm assuming I'm connected to fibre, although I'm sure it isn't fibre right up to my property. I believe it's only fibre up to the exchange. I'm not 100% sure, to be honest with you

Please advise as soon as possible, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of information regarding this error code. It would also appear that moderators usually request details to be sent to them via PM, upon invitation, naturally, iro this code.

Hi @Jazzman  the BT TV team believe they have fixed the fault with the App. Would you please test and see if all is ok now and post back to let me know how you get on.

Hi @Jazzman  thanks for checking that and getting back to me. The BT TV team checked and there was some conflicting information which was causing the err. They factory reset the App and asked for you to check and it worked ok then. 🙂
