Thank you its  v3.1.17

There's the problem,  I've just downloaded the latest version from https://www.player.bt.com/lib/BTTVPlayer.exe and it's only 1.0.0.36.

No Idea what you downloaded but it wasn't the BT TV App

Re: BT TV

What browser are you using?

It sounds as if there is a disconnect somewhere between your browser and the BT TV Player. try the following.

Use Task Manager to make sure there are no instances of the TV Player still running (i.e failed to shut down properly)

Launch Google Chrome browser and type https://tv.bt.com/tvguide into the address bar and login.

Click on 'Live TV' and select something to watch.

At this point one of two things should happen, either you will see a dialogue box asking if you have the BT TV player installed, if this is the case then check the tickbox (sorry can't remember the message alongside the tickbox). and click yes or OK whichever applies.

If no dialogue box appears then after a short delay the BT TV player should launch automatically and you should be asked to login again, another short delay and your programme should launch.

If that doesn't work then I'm all out of ideas.

Good Luck

Re: BT TV

One last thought on this topic, try downloading ccleaner and check the registry for invalid entries and delete any found making sure you save your changes.

If you've never heard of it before, I've been using it for years and, with one exception a while ago when they had a virus in their repository, never had a problem with it.
