CI Module

I purchased a new Smart TV at the weekend (LG 32LN578V) and connected it to my BT wifi wirelessly. However, when I switched the channel to BT Sport a message came up on the screen saying something like 'No CI Module'. I do not have BT Vision or any of the other (Sky, Virgin) TV packages but had assumed it would just be a case of wirelessly connecting to the router and away I go. No such luck! Is there another piece of kit that I need to add? Can I download the BT Sport app on to the TV and watch there. I'm not very techy-minded so all advice appreciated!!

Thanks

Re: CI Module

You need to add a BT Vision Box, Youview Box or Sky Box.
Not available through the CI Slot

Re: CI Module

Your TV needs a browser to do that and I am not aware of any TV that could download the app. The use of smart TV's have been covered here https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Sport/BT-Sport-on-my-Samsung-Smart-TV/td-p/881972

Re: CI Module

Hi Brian

If you have a Kindle this will connect to an LG Smart TV. Good quality stream.
