Help please- BT TV app says no more devices allowed...appears locked?

Hello All,

Looking for help with the BT TV app, please.

It was only ever accessed by my iPhone and worked fine until recently. Now when I try to watch TV on it, it says that  I have reached my device limit, and that I have toremove a device (AP958).

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Simon.

Login to bt tv, click settings, manage devices and delete one of them. Next time you try to use one it will register automatically

Hi Victor,

I have tried that many times and the page shows a padlock symbol with the text, "You can register a new device every 30 days" opposite the padlock.

It is unresponsive to any inputs!

Thanks anyway,

Simon.

Hi @simonn1,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems adding a new device to your BTTV Everywhere App.

Have you ever tried to cast the app from your iPhone to a chromecast?

If you have the BTTV Everywhere app will count the Chromecast as another device and will take up one of your free slots. You can delete a device from manage devices but will have to wait 30 days before adding a new device.

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for that suggestion: unfortunately I don't have a Chromecast.

Thanks,

Simon.

AP958 doesn't seem to be a valid code, are you sure it's not WP958.

Hi Vic,

Yep, definitely AP958. BT TV app version is 3.3.2

Bizarrely, I can watch Man Utd right now on the BT Sport App!

You should have said you were a Utd fan, as a Liverpool fan myself I would have let you suffer  🤣

(just kidding)

Hah-hah-hah!

Quite right too...although I'm a Palace fan, so an app not working is very small beer indeed!
