Did you delete and redownload the app?
It is telling me that I need to subscribe to BT TV Extra. Which I already do.
Edit: Tried deleting and reinstalling the app - still no joy.
Turning this round: Can anyone confirm they have been able to download programmes?

The support pages have now been updated by the looks of things and the apps should be avalible..
Thanks for the link ... unfortunately eventually I get to another link to find out more about the extra app which has been failing to connect for some time .. specifically
https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/tv/appextra/
Have you tried adding extra to your account again? Go in as if you are going to add something to your tv bundle.. leave as current package then it offers the extra for £5 a month.. just wondering if this would trigger it for you? Just a guess..
Also I am able to download on iphone X - you may want to have an online chat..
I can confirm that the iOS app update has just appeared as available in my IPad app store
iOS app should have updated this morning, and also now on the Apple TV app store.
The App should have a new look
And for those wanting the new features it is indeed a £5 add on
BT TV App Extra - Allows 4 devices instead of 2, Download your favorite shows, Stream or Cast on Large Tv (Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV)
To add it, log into your BT account, select TV and select add on - then keep the current subscription - continue- then Additonal viewing options -right at the bottom add Extra...
It works great on Apple TV 4K
I see that now. Why has it stopped me streaming live TV and why does the app say I need a BT TV Extra subscription rather than an BT TV App Extra subscription?
