Welcome and thanks for posting. Sorry you're having problems with the playback sound quality. Do you get this with all recording or just the rugby? How is the box connected, is is scart or hdmi? Give us as much detail as you can and we'll try to help.

Hi there my wife has started to notice this problem on most ITV HD recordings. Have confrmed that the problem does not occur with direct HD broadcast.
The YouView box is less than a month old directly connec via a HDMI cable to a new Sony TV.
Did you follow this up with BT as requested.
I recorded a rugby highlights broadcast at 1am on Sunday, Jan 18th, on both normal and HD formats. On playback, the HD version was as described previously with sound breakup on commentary but not during commercial breaks. The normal version was fine.
Finally, I recorded a "Football Gold" programme broadcast on Sky Sports 1 at 3:30am on Monday, Jan 19th in both formats. There were no problems with either playbacks.
Further to my post yesterday, I thought I would record a programme other than rugby highlights at around the same time and in both formats. So, I recorded Serie A review at 1:30am on Wednesday, Jan 21st. Replaying the HD format gave intermittent sound breakup on everything except commercial ads. i.e. even BT ads., while replaying the normal format version was fine.
