Re: Sport app in 4K on Nvidia Shield

Go to solution

BT Sport Ultimate is only available on selected events.  The next one is Saturday: Premier League - Manchester United v Leeds United.  This will be shown in 4K HDR, with Atmos audio.

@DarrenDev  thanks for getting back to me.

So on the app there isn't a dedicated Ultimate channel, just whatever game is in 4K will be available on the day?

Correct - no dedicated Ultimate channel in the app (on the BT TV box, it just shows an advert on loop when no matches are on).

@DarrenDev  just wanted to confirm that the 4K HDR is working as you said. Not getting Atmos though. Should I be able to on the Nvidia Shield?

Re: Sport app in 4K on Nvidia Shield

I'm back 😛
Up til recently the BT sport app has been working pretty well in 4k with just a bit of stuttering occasionally, but... last night's Man United game was unwatchable.

Buffering, choppy playback and some very odd effect where it looked as though two frames were on screen at the same time with a slight offset.

I rebooted my Nvidia Shield and cleared the BT Sport app cache but the problem persisted.

In the end I had to watch the game in SD on my SKY Q box.

Any idea why this was happening?
