I keep on getting an error message coming up on BT Sport through the Android App.
Last week it was all was fine, but today I was getting these errors every few minutes. Anything to do with the recent update?
The playback stops with an overlaid window which says:
"The provided stream contains format errors
with buttons for "Cancel" and "FAQ".
Of course, the FAQ contains nothing about this specific code.
Restarting from the "Watch" screen brings the stream back for a while.
i hae cleared the cache and data and the error message still appears, any help?
Welcome and thanks for posting. We’ll try and help with this. Can you confirm the app version (obtainable through Menu > Settings> About) and the specific version of Android you’re running and the device you’re using.
Thanks for posting back, I've contacted the BT sport app team and we'll get back to you when we know more.
I have just had an update back from the BT TV team and they have as yet been unable to reproduce the issue in the office, so they have been unable to work out the root cause or a fix.
Could you confirm:
1. If the error message appears for all video content (on demand and live)
2. And if restarting the device sorts the issue out.
The error message comes up when I watch the live broadcast through BT Sport1, Sport2 and ESPN
I can watch at least 1 or 2 mins sometimes even less then the error message pops up.
I reset my tablet, but the error message keeps on coming up. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the App to the newest version 1.4.3, still the message pops up
Thanks for confirming that. We'll need to take a closer look at this for you. Can you drop me an email with your details. You'll get the 'contact us' link in my profile.
