iPad app and Apple TV

I am a BT broadband customer and plan on using my iPad to access the BT Sport content.

Does anybody know if BT plan on encoding the app in such a way that it won't work with an Apple TV device - as Sky have done with their SkyGo app.

It would be great if I could use it with Apple TV through the iPad. Any information would be appreciated before I splash out and buy an Apple TV.

I'll try and remember to post my joy/annoyance when I find out the answer.

On the plus side, BT have less 'reason' to block Airplay than Sky, as they don't offer a multi-room package.

There are some refurbished ones for sale on the Apple site, mine's refurbished and it comes with 12 months AppleCare just like a new one.

It does say you can stream with apple tv,and ive noticed on my ipad that there is a apple tv logo.
Tried it last night and i couldnt get it to work,think it might be more the apple tv device needing being updated.
So eventually hope it will work.
