Audio Description / Subtitles turning itself on

Hi,

On a few occasions, Audio Description and Subtitles have turned themselves on halfway through watching a programme.  It has always been after we had paused the recording and then hit play again.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there a shortcut button on the remote I might be pushing by accident?

Cheers

IF on the new llook system

:

  1. Temporary switch: Press the # button on your remote control to toggle subtitles on or off and the * button to toggle audio description on or off. This setting will be lost when your BT Vision+ box is put into standby or switched off.

Possibly:smileywink:

* turns audio description on and off

# turns subtitles on and off

edit. zulu's reply wasn't there when I read it.

On the latest remote those options * & # do not appear. It appears that the only way to switch off this annoying problem is by using the "Sub" button bottom right on the new remote.

That annoying problem is actually an essential tool for many people with hearing or sight disability. Just make sure you don't turn it on in the first place and be happy.

Re: Audio Description / Subtitles turning itself on

They have tried to make this more obvious on the new style remotes by renaming the buttons.
