Anyone else had this or is it a scam?

Dear User,

As you've used your email address in the last 90 days, we need to let you know about some changes we're making.  We're closing some of our old email account and services. That means your BT email address will stop working after 5th August 2019, unless you validate your account. If you don't do that, you'll lose your email address as well as the contacts and messages associated with it.

If you want to keep your email, it's quick, easy and free. Just validate your email now by following the steps at bt.com/linkemail

Thanks,

It looks to be a scam.

The link looks suspicious: hover over it, but do not click on it.

The spelling is also incorrect, as in the bottom line:- “Telecommunicetions”.

It is a scam. Do not click on any links and delete the email.

If you have clicked on the links and entered your password etc you need to urgently change your password.

Check that there are no forwarding email addresses set up in your account prior to changing your password.
