Call Barring

Hi guys, sadly we are not getting any help from the customer service at BT. My partners ex wife still lives in the marital home where the BT landline is in my partners name and bank account, so he still pays the bills till June 2019! His ex is running up the bill outrageously by calling premium numbers and mobiles. BT have asked him to give the numbers he wants blocked, he cannot do this as he has no control over the phone. Is there something we can pay to have all outgoing calls barred except emeergency numbers? Any advise appreciated as this is costing us a fortunr each month(:

BT Retail used to offer a free premium call block, but I am not sure if that is still the case.

Any changes would have to be made by the account holder.

can your partner, the account holder and bill payer, not just terminate the account?

Call Barring IS available but (as the person in question is an adult) they maybe able to bypass it once activated.

Thanks guys for your replies, my partner is the account holder and it looks like the only choice is to terminate the contract, sadly just did not want to pay the remainder of the line contract up front, but at least it will solve the immediate problem of out of control bills.
