Cancel landline for my elderly grandfather

I need to cancel my elderly grandads landline. He is hard of hearing and doesn’t use this service anymore. He cannot hear on the phone for us to call and cancel. Is there a way to cancel without calling bt? At the moment he only pays line rental. We also have an issue which we previously tried to change the name on the account as bt also have this incorrect on the letters. Can anyone help? Thanks

You have to call BT Billing 0330.1234.150 in order to cancel.

Before doing that have your grandad log onto his MyBT and make you an account manager so that you can deal with his account. 

If you do not or can not do that, when you call BT, have your grandad with you so that he can give permission to act on his behalf.
