Fake page? Congratulations on winning a free prize.

Annotation 2020-04-04 124544.png

Saw this appear on Chrome Browsers on 2 different laptops in my household.

Message reads, "Dear BT User, We are celebrating our anniversary, you've been selected as a winner for today's free Prize!"

The link looks SO fake. Rubbish! Killed the browser and restarted. Has anyone else seen this "Dear BT Customer, Congratulations" at all. I don't trust it!

Yes fake, bt have 9.2 million subscribers, that's a lot of expense giving away prizes!!

Please run a malware and adware scan. and don't click the link(s) as will download more pups (potentially unwanted programs) and will grind the laptops to a halt

Many thanks. What would be the most effective Malware Removal tool? I'm currently depending on Microsoft Defender.
