Dear DS - or should I say Top Banana? I can neither confirm nor deny that the rating system is based on fruit. You may or may not become a banana, or even an ugli fruit. NewZealanders may become kiwi fruit, and the really sharp members may become limes. Some of us may be 2 grapes short of an orchard but we do not intend to become lemons.

Got him at last!

I am sure we could think up lots of nicknames based around D and S - but out of kindness (and a creeping sense of paranoia about what the next rating tier will be) I shall refrain, and merely gloat that DS is a newier newbie than I am!

Newbie: One that is new to something, especially a novice at using computer technology or the Internet.

A first-time user. A newbie may be a novice in anything; using a computer, a video game, a particular operating system, the Internet, etc. Also called a "newb," "noob" or "nub."

Apparantly "Leet" is the ultimate acolaid in the gaming fraternity.

"Leet" may be regarded as the opposite of "n00b". Leet, "1337" or "l33t" refers to high ranked players who understand what they are doing, are acknowledged in the gaming community, and are the best of what they do in-game.
