moving into a diffent area

Hi, I'm not a BT customer yet, and I would like more information on when you have to move house or even area. At the moment I live in London and there are possibilities that from September I should move to Canterbury, my question is, are there any additional costs if I move to another area while maintaining my contract with Bt? and also BT  guarantee me the same speed at the same price?Nthanks so much

Re: moving into a diffent area

You can move to a new address and keep your contract. In the unlikely event that you were not able to get any broadband connection at your new location you would be able to leave the contract without penalty.

BT nor any other provider can guarantee you will get the same speeds unless you have a full fibre package at both locations.

It may be that your present location only has FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) and your new location has (FTTP Fibre to the Premises) in which case your new location would be able to get faster speeds or conversely if your present location has FTTP and the new location only has FTTC you may get slower speeds.

There is no guarantee that any new location will have FTTP full fibre.

If you have a FTTC (Fibre to the cabinet) at both locations there are many factors that dictate the speed that you will get at them so it is not possible to guarantee the same speeds.
