18 month contract ending

hello,

My 18 month contract with bt will be coming to an end in March 2021. I currently have Unlimited Broadband, with unlimited Weekend calls, the package also includes Halo 1 and a £2 discount, total is £37.99 pm. Do I need to renew the contract? And will my services continue after the contract ends?

On my account a little box has shown up in the corner saying "your discounts end soon - renew/upgrade", the new contracts last for 24 months and there is no unlimited weekend calls option. So if I don't renew will I still get the Unlimited weekend calls?

Any discounts you have will end awhen fixed term ends so you can renew and negotiate a new deal. Packages no longer in  calls as they are now add on to your package

So if I don't renew will I still keep the unlimited weekend calls? I would rather lose the £2pm discount than have to fork out £7pm for only 700 minutes of calls that I might not even use.

This may not be relevant in your case but if you have a mobile phone with unlimited calls and texts due you actually need a BT calling plan. You can call your contacts for free using your mobile and if people still call your land line it will not cost you anything.

With you being on halo 1 as well the price shouldn't even change at the end of the contract

What I'm trying to ascertain is will I keep my unlimited weekend calls plan if I do not renew or upgrade?

Because even though I'm on Halo 1 I will be hit with a £7pm increase in price due to the 700 minutes plan, the only other option is "Pay as you go", and still that will be an increase, as I am currently getting weekend calls for free.

If you do nothing your package would stay the same so yes you'd still have the weekend calls

I might give them a call next month to see if I can get anything better. maybe im overthinking it all, but just seems like a huge price increase.

just seems like they are trying to rip me off.
