I am getting these annoying emails from BT telling me that I could be upgraded to superfast broadband up to 76Mbps for an extra £5 per month.
On checking it says that I currently pay £49.99 all in and for an extra £5 per month to £54.99 I could get the upgrade.
This is wrong on two counts, I currently pay far less than £49.99 per month and already get the speed boost.
My line has been tested by OR and the best that I can get is 61Mbps, which will never get better due to aluminium cable somewhere in the system, even though I am about 300 metres from the cabinet.
Don't BT ever check their facts, I wonder what would happen if I was daft enough to take this "offer".
Anyone else getting these emails?
