Authorising someone to speak to BT should I be unable to do so

Hi

Hopefully this is the correct area for my question. This is a difficult time for everybody and I am trying to ensure that should I end up unable to speak for myself that my husband can speak to BT on my behalf. How do I do this? I see that I am not allowed to add him to my account. My current contract is ending soon. Can I start the new contract as a joint account? Can I just write a letter to BT authorising my husband to speak to them on my behalf?

Thank you

Linda

Re: Authorising someone to speak to BT should I be unable to do so

You can add him as an account manager. Have a look at:
https://www.bt.com/help/account-and-billing/what-s-the-difference-between-an-account-holder-and-an-a...

You can also call 150 from your BT line or 0800800150 and do the same (billing option) but there may be a bit of a wait to get someone.
