BT Gamepass from 3rd party

Go to solution

Hello everyone. I had created this account just because of this problem. I bought an Xbox Ultimate Gamepass off of G2A (yes, I know this was stupid) about a month ago. Now, when I try to cancel the subscription, it says that it's controlled through BT/EE. The problem is, I don't have nor have I ever had a BT/EE account. I'm not from the UK either, and when I've tried to call the support phone numbers, they get blocked by my service provider. I didn't even realize this until recently, and I don't know what to do. I don't know who is controlling it, and I'm in dire need of help.

Cancel the Direct Debit or however it is being paid from your bank or credit card.

The problem with that is that it's almost as if nothing has been charged from my bank account for this months sub. I can't cancel the direct payment method nor go to my bank when nothing is exactly being taken from it. At this point, I'm afraid at the fact that someone has basically just hijacked my ability to control my Gamepass sub.

It does appear that you have been scammed in some way. There are reports that BT customers have had their free xbox game passes hijacked prior to them activating it through BT.

I would suggest that you contact the company you bought the pass from and your bank or who ever you used to make the payment when you purchased it and report the scam to them and request that your account makes no further payments to who ever received the initial payment.

EDIT: I have notified the moderators of the forum about your problem. Once they have read this they may be able to help/offer advice . They will advise you by posting on this thread.

when you bought the pass how did you pay for it?  did you set up a DD at the time of purchase - if just go you back account and cancel the DD.  Have you tried going to G2A who sold you the pass to cancel?

Yet it doesn't exactly fix the problem of my ability to control my subscription. Sure, I could contact G2A, yet I believe that they wouldn't exactly be able to do much about. I could contact my bank, but they could only see the initial purchase that I made to buy the code in the first place, yet not the fact that my Xbox account is basically stuck with an active subscription. I tried to contact Xbox in itself, and I was forwarded here as they "can't do anything about it". Even if I were to get my money back, it most likely would still mean that the sub would stay active until, somehow, some way, someone from BT/EE itself could fix the problem on their side, yet that is also questionable as I don't own the BT/EE account that the sub is connected to, nor do I even know what the account is.

If it is a stolen BT Xbox Game Pass you will not be entitled to do anything with it let alone control the subscription!

I bought it from a 3rd party on G2A. According to the receipt, the person who sold it was from the UK. I had bought the subscription during October, and only now had realized that it was still going, even if it wasn't supposed to. I, on my end can't do anything about it. I've already panicked about the whole ordeal, and I just want the sub to be removed from my Xbox account, period.

There is nothing that this forum can do except advise the forum moderators who are BT emplyees to see if they can offer any help or assistance and as I have already done that I would suggest that you wait until they respond to this thread to see what they can offer.
