I have just got online with copper broadband until my new FTTP gets connected. I keep getting emails asking me to create account but it prompts me to enter account number which i have not got, only an order number which it does not accept. Is there a way to create an ID without me having to phone BT and wait 2 hours to speak to someone?
You should receive a letter in the post, with your account number and an initial bill. There is no need to actually create an account at this point.
BT would not give you it over the phone or chat anyway, as it has to be sent by post to the account holder`s address, for security reasons.

As im not actually paying until my FTTP is activated i wonder if they will still send me a 'bill'.

I am not sure, but I would have expected some form of correspondence.
