my Wife, is the BT main account holder with Landline, Broadband and her own BT Mobile plan, received the 'BT Plus for only £3 a month more' email a month back and decided to go for it. I have my own seperate BT mobile plan and renewed my contract in March.
Now, I have been in touch with BT three times since my Wife moved over to BT Plus because I incorrectly assumed that my own BT mobile plan would receive the double data etc benefits that she herself is now enjoying.
First Agent told me - it's complicated, I'd need to get a PAC, let my Wife take out a new SIM and migrate my number over to the new SIM and contract - but we can offer you an extra G of Data instead if you want.
Second Agent told me - yes no problem, I'm adjusting your account now to double your Data and give you faster 4G you should have confirmation within 48hrs. Result I thought - but nothing ever came. AAAGH
Third Agent told me, yes we'll need to merge your accounts, I'll just put you through to......*phone goes dead* - AGGGGHHHH
So, before I get in touch with BT again, does anyone have any experience of a similar situation and if so, is there a way to do this and how did you end up getting this resolved, if at all?
In order to get the BT Plus benefits all of the sims/mobiles would need to be under one account.
Double data will automatically be applied to every mobile plan on your BT Plus broadband account and is applicable to any plan type e.g SIMO, Family SIM and handset.
Would you like us to see if we can move both onto one account? I can't promise that we can do it but we can certainly investigate it. Plus, we'd need permission from both parties of course.

Looks like something is happening as my Plan monthly renewal date has changed today 🙂
Just so I know, do you have any idea how long before my Data allowance / 4G speed will take to receive the benefits of BT Plus following my account transfer please? (Existing Data 4 Gb).
