BT Rewards - New Fibre 1 customer

Hi, 

I recently signed up, as a new customer, to BT Fibre 1 + landline.

Signed up via Uswitch, which directed me to BT sign up site.

The Uswitch deal at the time of signing included a £100 reward card.

Conditions said that as soon as broadband was initiated (today), then the reward card could be claimed.

I've been on MyBT app today and it says no reward is pending.

WHAT?!

So, why did Uswitch offer this? I took it in all good faith that the switch to BT fibre (and phone) included this reward card.

If I go on the Uswitch site it just transfers me to BT, where it repeats that no reward is pending.

Could do with some explanation please.

You can claim your reward online using your BT ID.

If you ordered broadband, please wait till your service is activated before you claim.

If you ordered a mobile product, please wait 30 days after activating your SIM or receiving your phone before you claim.

After 3 months your claim will expire and you will no longer be able to claim.

Thanks, but you obviously haven't read my original post.

I have tried the BT Rewards login, using our details, and it still says no reward pending.

You have to wait until you're outside the cooling off period (14 days from activation) to claim a reward, on day 15 you can visit www.bt.com/claimmyreward

Ah, OK, Richie.

Only guidance I had was that, as soon as new BT Fibre internet goes live, ie on the day, then claim.

I wasn't aware there was a cooling off period.

Hope that's genuine then and our reward shows up.

As said, it was one of the deciding factors in plumping for BT as opposed to other similar deals offered to us going over to fibre.

If you still can't claim after day 15, we can ask a mod to help 🙂

Hi Dan,

Finally got it all sorted today with online chat with BT accounts.

Regarding due rewards and signing up as a new customer to BT broadband, there is contradictory info out there.

Reading the current BT advice on their Claim Rewards site, it says that (if rewards are due as part of your deal) as soon as your broadband is activated you can go through the process of claiming your reward. Though it advises that the reward will be processed 14 days after day of broadband activation, ie after cooling off period.

Nevertheless the BT info says that you can commence a claim for rewards as soon as your BT broadband is activated.

This, it seems, is not the case following the long chat with BT accounts.

The fact is you have to wait the full 14 days after activation to be able to claim and see any due rewards on your account.

That's certainly not how it reads on the BT claim rewards site.

However, at least my today's chat with BT Accounts puts my concerns at rest regarding a reward offered at the time of signing up.

Ok, so it's now 14 days after activation  of the new BT Fibre 1 service, first time customer...and still no indication of any reward card, as promised on signing up (via Uswitch).

No indication  on MyBT app or going onto BT rewards claim site.

At the time of signing up to BT Fibre broadband, in November, with Uswitch there was a definite bonus of a £100 BT rewards card offered.

First advice was to wait 14days after activation. We've done that...that was yesterday.

Still no indication of any reward pending.

Would like a moderator to help please.
