@thegas

Now see I knew you would ask that lol, let DLM do its thing for a few days. Your speeds may go up or down... but for now do not unplug or restart the router!

Glad you said that, i was considering moving it upstairs to a different socket!

Why should it be left alone for a while out of interest?

@thegas

DLM will monitor your line, and will increase or decrease your speed depending on how your line performs... They say it can take upto 10 days to settle but often sooner! BT will not do anything about speed until the 10 days is up unless a fault shows.

I would leave it over the weekend, what broadband package did you take? And what was your minimum speed on your confirmation email?

PS for best results ensure you are using the microfilter unless the BT Master Socket is prefiltered and the router is in the master socket and not any extensions.

Superfast Fibre Essential Unlimited

I'm using the filter and it is plugged into the socket in the front room, same location as the sky setup before it.

@thegas

Providing its in the same socket as when you had it with sky it will go up. Speedtest should be done via a wired connection.

Best place to see whats happening is from your BT Hub,

From a Smart Hub, can you go to hub manager http://bthomehub.home/ then advanced, then technical log. From here you can see your current sync speed, and what the maximum line rate is for your line.

Best adivce for now, sit back enjoy watching France loose at the football and see how it is next week!
