Hi,
I've recently updated my contract to remove BT TV and Sports, leaving Fibre BB only. My new contract goes live on Monday. During the contract negotiation call (on 18th Jan) I was told that I would not have to return my TV box. Today I've received an envelope for returning the box.
Can a mod/team member please confirm that I do not have to return the box? (I am not planning to return it - it is now mine. I first got it several years ago ... it's the DTR-T2100 model).
Thanks.

If you received the box prior to 13 December 2019 then you don't have to return it, however BT have a legal obligation to offer a recycling service.

I've received another reminder email about the BT Youview box. Can a mod look at this please and confirm that I do not need to return it? (So I have something formal from BT).
As per above I've had this box since way before the T&Cs change about returning hardware ... this box became my own property once my first contract ended (as I recall from the original T&Cs).
I'm asking this so that BT don't try and hit me with a failed hardware return charge - I'd like to nip this in the bud right now. 🙂
Hello? I know a mod needs to pick this up and that I can't just PM them direct.
Hi @siteguru I'm sorry we missed your previous posts, I've sent you a private message so you can get in touch.
Cheers
