I recently had a problem so rang the BT helpline, they moved me to EE - just happened, I did not reall ask.
But now got a proforma EMail from BT
Of course you cannot reply to the EMail.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Call BT 0330.1234.150 and ask why this has happened.
@JMB Be aware, the conversation you had with whoever it was you spoke with, will undoubtedly have been recorded. If you’re uncertain of what was said, ask for a transcript of the conversation. I’ve had to do this myself with another company who blatantly lied to me and I caught them out.
If you’ve been arbitrarily moved to the EE brand without your consent and you’re not happy with the situation, complain, but make sure you are certain on your facts first.
Kimbo that information is irrelevant
Under distance selling law you have a 14 day cooling off period
If this order was made less then a fortnight ago the op needs to get on the phone and cancel.
@Kodikid It isn’t irrelevant at all, you nor I or anyone else here knows the full facts except the OP. They said ‘Recently’. That could mean yesterday, last week or 3 weeks ago.
Plus, if the OP didn’t request the move, they are entitled to complain distance selling or otherwise.
I am not bothered about being moved, BT seem to be moving all customers to EE.
Just odd that they should move me then EMail to ask why I have moved.
@JMB If you're not bothered, then that's great, but I'm not sure that being moved without actually informing the customer or not having a chat about migrating the customer, is now official BT/EE policy?

It is a generic automatic email that is sent out when ever anyone ceases with BT.
