At the end of my 75 year old parents bt phone and broadband contract, they were contacted by phone and sold the bt full fiber 500 package with complete wifi and hybrid connect. This is far more than they will ever use. All they use the Internet for is shopping and streaming the odd TV show.
I managed to cancel this package after 4 phone calls and alot of waiting and get them on a bt full fiber 100 contract. This is a considrable saving and more inline with there usage.
You can imagine my disappointment when I found out a bt sales person had phoned them up and changed there contract back with what I can only describe as high pressure sales tactics.
Why has this happened and how can I stop this happening again. I would also like to obtain a copy of the phone recordings. For if I have to contact the ombudsman.
Does anyone have any advice.

Only the account holder can request their phone calls, a 3rd party isn't allowed to ask for a conversation they were not part of.
