I've just checked my elderly parents bank statements for the last quarter and BT have taken over £1100 from them by numerous direct debits (on top of their bill), some for under £100 at a time some for nearly £300. I also found a statement from roughly a year ago and it was happening then.
My father, who is the account holder for BT has dementia and my mum has always just let his account pay the bills. I can only assume this has been going on for at least 12 months.
I'd like someone from BT to contact me to get to the bottom of this and get their money back.
