Like other customers, I'm retired too and find BT broadband bills too expense! I'm paying over £250+ a month! tried to ask for my contract and was told that it does not exist, because it expires in December this year (2025). Surely, having a contract defines what BT and customers legally should expect from one another.
As a pensioner, my general experience with speaking to BT is that they are unhelpful but happy to sell products not necessarily needed by older customers. Is there a solution to this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you log onto your MyBT and click on "Track Your Order" the "View order Summary". It will show what your BT Broadband package consists of along with the start and finish date.
The BT Terms and Conditions sets out what you can expect from BT and what is expected from you.
TO be completely honest here with the £250+ comment, sounds like you're either on the wrong plan too & being charged for calls or being billed quarterly, hard to find a BT package at that price
You are the first residential customer from all the forum posts who claims to pay £250pm for your broadband package - unless you were a business customer
If residential customer then you need to log in to MYBT and see how your bill is calculated
Hi @ColonelPeacock.
Thanks for coming to the community.
You can view a breakdown of your charges when checking the PDF of your bill in your My BT account.
Alternatively, you can reach out to our customer service guides. They will be able to look over your account to check your bills and see if there are any savings to be made anywhere.
