Thank you Robbie. I have just been told by the online "help" people that the next update regarding the exchange is in a month's time. That will be ten weeks from the activation date with no guarantee that anything will be fixed then. Essentially BT have sold me a service they can't provide, and are billing me for the privilege. 

 

Anyway, I will await David's call.

You shouldn't be billed for broadband until the service is activated.

Sorry I keep missing you, I have had lots of meetings this week. 

 

Thanks for following up. Yes, it is set up now and everything is working fine. I appreciate your help getting this sorted. 

 

The only outstanding issue is that I went through Quidco when I bought the BT package, and my cashback claim was turned down a couple of weeks ago. I can only think this is down to the fact my internet was not set up at this time and therefore my order was not complete. I have requested a review through the Quidco site for the time being, but I am not sure what the next steps are if this is unsuccessful.

Thanks for posting. I'm really glad to hear you're up and running. Have you raised a dispute with Quidco about the cashback?

Yes I have raised a dispute. It's just gone back to BT to review according to Quidco.

I tried calling this morning, sorry I missed you. Thanks for sending over the dispute ref. Can you also send over your Quidco username and the amount you're claiming and I'll chase this up for you.
