Can I intentionally overpay?

Bill is currently paid by monthly direct debit. Having received a BT Reward Card, can this be used to temporarily overpay until the value on the Reward Card is used up? If so, how would I go about adding this value to my BT account?

Many thanks

Re: Can I intentionally overpay?

You can make a one-off card payment to BT here. I'm not sure whether advance payments are accepted but, if they are, I can see no reason why the reward card would be excluded.

Re: Can I intentionally overpay?

Thanks. I guess I'm going to have to contact billing live chat to confirm Smiley Sad

Re: Can I intentionally overpay?

Btw - billing live chat said that they don't take advance payments if there is no outstanding balance. As the existing direct debit will presumably mean there is no outstanding balance it seems what I was planning to do isn't possible. Although the agent initially said it was possible before changing his/her mind so...!

Re: Can I intentionally overpay?

If it was me, I'd see what trying an online payment achieves rather than take what live chat says as gospel.
