Re: Can I stop my landline but keep broadband?

Go to solution

So if people don't ever use their landlines because they have 2 mobiles in their home there's no savings to be made?

You are confusing the term 'Landline' meaning telephone capability and 'Line Rental' meaning payment for the physical medium (copper or fibre) to deliver the broadband and telephony services. Obviously broadband doesn't arrive by magic.

As already stated, you can get a standalone broadband service , it has no telephony with it , so no phone number , no incoming or outgoing calls are possible …the list price for this is £5 per month less than the same broadband with a phone number and the ability to make and receive calls….hopefully no one these days is daft enough to think if line and broadband is £30 a month and ‘line rental’ is £20, then broadband on its own should only be £10, it doesn’t work like that.
