I’ve received the email reminder at activate ID, link works, answer questions, fill in details, click continue, and just get the message ‘Sorry we weren't able to activate your My BT account due to a technical problem. Please try again.’ Tried for months to get this working, never been able to log in, never seen any of my bills. Tried talking to someone on the phone, they weren’t able to help, they just send another activation reminder email..

Hi @cantactivateid2020 welcome to the forum and sorry that you can't activate your BTID. If you have your BT account number you can set up the BTID without the activation email. If you don't have your account number call in and speak with our billing team. They will send you a letter to confirm your account number and once you have this you can set up the BTID on bt.com then.
Hi John, I have my account number, I had the letter sent out last week, that doesn’t help my problem in any way. The set up the BTID link you suggested just tells me ‘Please click here to activate your profile’ when I type in my email address. Then it’s back to the same ‘Sorry we weren't able to activate your My BT account due to a technical problem. Please try again.’ after I’ve filled out all my details.

A few things that may help get this sorted for you.
1)Please would you clear your cookies and cache and try again.
2)Would you try using a different internet browser
3)Do you have a different email address and try setting it up with that email address.

Hi, using an alternative email address worked, not ideal and a little frustrating but I now have access to the account.
