Change delivery address

I’ve ordered broadband for when we move house however, we won’t be living at that address when the hub is due to be delivered, we will be living at the address on installation date. Is there a way I can change the delivery address of the hub to my current address? Thanks.

Re: Change delivery address

It depends on who the router is being delivered by.  With many carriers now, once you have the tracking you can divert the router to a collection point.

Hi @stephabell

Welcome to the community.

I hope everything is going smoothly with the move.

I don't believe we can get the equipment sent to another address as it would go to the address the broadband is for.

When I took out my broadband recently, the equipment was sent by Royal Mail and I got the tracking number when it was despatched. If you then have the Royal Mail app, you'll be able to change the date it is delivered.

Re: Change delivery address

When I signed up a year and a half ago, I had my own router redirected for pick up to the local post office.  I think on that occasion this was via Parcel Force, though the shop in question also handles parcels for DHL and DPD.  So it very definitely is possible to set a collection point - though delivering to a different private address is probably less likely.

Certainly with Royal Mail/Parcel force, if you can change the delivery date, you can opt for a collection location instead!

Re: Change delivery address

It looks like it depends on what you order @Crimliar.

I've found the When will my BT Hub be delivered? page on the website which says it is Royal Mail if just a broadband connection, but Parcelforce if there is EE TV as well.

I'm sure there will be options to either delay or arrange to collect the equipment when you have the tracking details @stephabell
