I am having a bit of an issue.
I'm a former employee and just need my personal email address deleted from DnP on an old previous account so I can add to my current account.
I had Colleague Broadband which has now been changed over but my BT ID is still my old bt.com email address. I've spoken to the helpdesk, who told me it had been raised to back office to resolve but still hasn't.
My personal email is linked to an old Business account and I've tried logging into business.bt.com but it wants to send a code to my old work mobile or email (both of which I no longer have).
Any help, appreciated 🙂
Can’t you change it by login to My BT and go to “Your details”, “Personal details” and then change your email in 2 places: “Your BT ID details” and “ Contact details”.
Hi,
No, my personal email address was linked to an old Business account. An email can only be registered on DnP once.
I know (as I have done it before for customers when I worked in BT) that DnP ASG can de link the email address for the account it is currently attached to.
I spoke to the help desk and they said they were raising it to 3rd line but doesn't appear to have been done.
Does it matter that your BT ID is your old works email address so long as your contact email is correct. The BT ID is a string of unique characters used to login with and not used as an actual email address.
@David500 Well, yeah, it sort of does.?
My BTID at the moment is ***@bt.com
I don't have this address anymore and if anything, I'll probably forget it soon.
If you had an email address you didn't use anymore, would you not update your accounts as well.
