Sometime back I became aware that someone was misquoting my BT email address (which is the same as my BTID username) when purchasing goods or services. My account hasn't been hacked and I change passwords fairly often but never the less I stopped using that BT email address and created a sub email address for all my email. That is working fine but I would like to get rid of the old email address and of course the existing BTID and replace it with the sub email address which I have now been using for some time.
On the prsonal details in MyBT it seems to sugest that you can 'edit' your BTID username but other posts in this forum seem to suggest that this is something which can only be done by BT themselves.
Can someone give me a definitive answer to this?
