Charge for equipment

Go to solution

Hi, I am due to leav BT in January 2018.
On my leaving notification there is charge for equipment.
Does that mean I know own the equipment?
If so why dont they just pick it up and not charge me for it?

Thanks,
Mike

Charge for your equipment
- You'll need to pay about £72.50 for your outstanding equipment charges. This is called 'Deferred payment for equipment' and you can find out more about it bt.com/legalstuff

Re: Charge for equipment

Equipment is generally your property even if you're not charged the full price at the time it's supplied. All charges are waived if you complete the minimum period agreed at the outset, but you will be charged at least part of the full price if you cancel your service before the minimum period is up.
