Charged whole bill when told i would pay nothing

I was told when i cancelled bt sport whilst there was no sport i would have nothing to pay so i went ahead and cancelled. Now i have been billed £419 for the rest of my contract. My online bill said i owed nothing so why was i charged? Anything i can do other than spend hours on the phone waiting?

It sounds like you cancelled your whole broadband service by mistake.

i only had bt sport and they told me it would be cancelled with no charge and when i looked on my online bill, it had no charge. i wouldn't of cancelled it if i had to pay, £20 a month of whatever it was is nothing compared to that! i cannot afford that
