Having thought that I’d closed my BT account at the beginning of 2015 you can imagine my horror when I get a message from a credit agency to say that my account has gone into default!
having tried to resolve this with BT and getting no-where I am now at a loss As to what I do?!? No-one can tell me what the amount clearly is or what it was for, as they say my account is now closed and with a debt collection agency........ (of which I don’t have details for and they won’t have my contact details as I have moved several times since) I notice that there are many similar cases of this on this forum. Can anyone help me as this is really distressing?
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.
You should have the name of debt collection company.
Thank you

@Cmhairi Are you sure it is not just a scam?
unfortunately no, I don’t think it is as it’s on my actual credit report.
And yet again, bt has not called me or tried to help resolve this issue. Promised help and radio silence!
what is everyone’s suggestions as to what I should do next?
