Combined broadband and landline

I'm on a combined broadband and land line deal. If I want to cancel my broadband, can I continue with the land line and keep my number?

you never replied to my question about digital voice as that is VOIP and need broadband connection

No I don't have digital voice or a fibre optic cable into the house. Regardless I've managed to speak to a BT advisor who tells me I can keep my landline and number if I cancel my broadband.

It will, however, be Digital Voice if not immediately in the very near future.
