Confirmed appointment but no engineer arrived

Go to solution

We had a confirmed appointment for an engineer to visit to activate Broadband, Telephone and TV today. No-one has arrived and there has been no message.  We have just moved house and have no Internet, phone or TV. so we are cutoff apart from getting to a BT hotspot for this.

No house entry is required, just external and activation.

if no house entry then why engineer visit?  if only activation then that can be done externally

have you tried connecting a phone to see if dial tone

BT appear to classify it as an engineer visit whatever. I have now talked to the new home team who confirmed no house entry was required and that activation would be within 24 hours.  However next morning we were sent a new appointment for a week's time, still classified as an engineers visit. So we wait  and see.

Today the BT engineer rang me from the cabinet and activated the phone and broadband service. No house entry required. All working fine.
