Using the post code in the "checker" does bring up my new house by number.
Using an address around 40mtrs from my new address gives a speed of almost 50mbs (outside of the new build)
We're up there later today & there are 3 or 4 people already moved in & they should be able to confirm the "speeds"
The bb speed is not the problem as it is what it is & I cannot change that until Openreach sort things out.
It's the cost.................... I am being asked to pay the same amount for a basic "slow"ADSL connection as I'm paying now for a InfinityII connection with all it's "extras".
This is given as the only option to avoid paying the £130 "connection" fee.
If I cannot get out of my current contract I will have to serve the 12 months offered & change provider which I do not really want to do as BT for all its "foibles" is a good service for my needs
More to follow

It seems that ADSL @3.4mbs is the only current option as fibre is at the street cab but is not currently available to our new property by any providor as yet.
Oh well, ....... BT wins again
D*ck.
