I think it is a Vodafone number, but the copper line will still be BT Openreach
Then I expect you will have to wait until the phone line number has been changed over to BT, in the local exchange. Then Openreach (Its not called BT Openreach any more) would need to visit the cabinet to connect the port up.
I suspect you are likely to have to wait some time yet.
ok, thanks. I might be better off cancelling order and just ordering the broadband from Vodafone it seems
That will not help, as Vodaphone still use Openreach, and you will then go to the bottom of the Openreach queue.
The status of the current phone line, has no bearing on the availability of broadband.
It would be quicker to use mobile broadband while you wait.
Does anyone know how to cancel an order. I can't see it anywhere other than calling BT and its impossible to get through right now
