Digital Voice - a work in progress that blocks your options & offers ?

Received email and by post the notification that I am to be migrated over to DV very soon, with information on Smart Hub 2, adapters etc.. Ok with that, it's going to happen so lets just get on with it. Then a few days later I receive this email about an early renewal deal ?

..however, when going to MyBT to see the full wonder of these offers I am informed that this is not possible as I have an 'open order' ( DV ) which needs to completed first. Contact with a human being then tells me that the only way to see the offer content is to cancel the Digital Voice order ? So basically my Broadband contract is somehow locked away until the DV is in place. And by the way, BT stated in the same messages that I would be upgraded to FTTP at no cost at the same time. This is quite an undertaking as there is no Openreach trunking in my road, despite it having been claimed to be available for sale in my street since the beginning of the year ? My neighbours ordered FTTP last May. Openreach actually dug up their front garden in July and put a conduit pipe over to the pavement, then never came back ! Fun and games ahead methinks.
