Ok so today I got my bills today and as usual I went to download it and it seems that some bright spark has changed the way the "Download Bill PDF" process works in that instead as in my last look at this in May (the 6th according to my Windows timestamps) when it was named as YourBTbill_24042019 for my April bill.
Now my bills for May and June are labelled as
Someone has changed the labelling of the PDF from the billing date to the date they are downloaded. In the interests of cordiality I will refrain from being too annoyed and critical as I can simply change the filenames but since this used to be correct, in my view and more useful, I wonder can someone that knows better than me offer a solution to this. I'm currently using most recent version of chrome browser and as the filename is halfway there I'm guessing its not the browser that is causing the problem.
Update: I've had a look at the way it works and inspected the underlying code and looking at this proved that its not the browser exactly. I went and checked out the current top level bill in the latest bill screen and it works correctly there but the recent Bills list (up to 15 months worth) do not pick up the billing date. I'm guessing the parameters have been changed in generic code and not taking into consideration the list of bills.
If anyone can make sure this gets passed onto the people than can get it fixed then please feel free to do this. They might like to suggest the PDF bills mangling of text and links on page one for bit of text that states. There must be a more english way of writing this I would though youyou looks a bit odd!

Yeah, I noticed that three are 2 ways to get to the latest bill well 3 in fact.
I was using the "Billing History"
this is from the new interface, I think, I noticed the old interface is still available depending on how you approach the billing system. To be honest its the usual old syndrome changing things on the fly, sorry I meant in an "agile management" way, that causes these odd anomalies.
I think I'll just bow out gracefully and get on with my life ...
The latest bill does seem to work as well for me but the initial way I came in to it does not.
I can't get to the billing page at all now.
Every link related to billing just redirects to the Make A Payment page.
