Has anyone received a similar e-mail from BT offering increased speeds for an extra £1 a month without re contracting? i follow the link and it just offers me all the upgrade offers I have access to, but all involve new 24 month contracts.
Not had that email, however if the link is not pulling through your specific offers (presuming you are signed in to your myBT) Then I would give the sales team a call and I am sure they will be able to clarift
Apart from running a speed test app on a wireless device, and watching the needle swing past 250Mb to 500Mb or 900Mb , there is nothing really on your phone or IPad or other wireless device that will noticeably improve having faster than 250Mb because in truth apart from a speed test app , anything you do on your phone , video , music , browsing, social media etc will not be anywhere near to using the 250Mb you already have available to it , let alone needing more , so will you see much difference day to day upgrading from 500Mb to 900Mb , almost certainly not , however if you have a lot of users all on line at the same time and intensively using your ‘connection’ then it’s possibly worth upgrading , but considering 5Mb for each HD stream , 25Mb for a UHD stream etc , you can see how many devices would need to be demanding bandwidth simultaneously to worry about total bandwidth available.
