Re: Ending BT contract

Go to solution
I intend to leave BT without bartering, I can’t be bothered. So, as my contract ends on the 15th May am I correct in saying that I can switch providers on the 1st May penalty free and without having to tell BT?

Yes I have seen that thank you  but really, being a bit thick, is the simple answer yes or no? Thanks.

Re: Ending BT contract

Hi @Piecringe as your contract ends on the 15th May then as long as the new provider is taking over the service on or later than the 15th you won't have any termination charges. If the transfer was the 14th see @-Richie-  post earlier on the this thread.

Cheers
John

So I will be safe to proceed on the 2nd May? At one second after midnight!

Re: Ending BT contract

The transfer usually takes 10 - 14 days , so as stated earlier just make sure the takeover date for your new provider

is on or after the 15th May.

That's no longer the case - see the reply to your identical post elsewhere.
