Engineer charges

My broadband was installed in March 2020.

It was self set-up but the engineer installed a master socket away from the router. He used the nearer existing telephone socket which he did not test.

I experienced frequent broadband outages which were confirmed by BT and they arranged a follow up visit.

The engineer explained that a cable should have been run between the router and master socket.

I have now been billed £85 for the visit!

Re: Engineer charges

If it was self set up then you must have used the extention socket not the engineer.
