In May I moved house. My existing arrangement was out of contract due to the house move.
Spoke to BT as I have been with them for many years and wanted a smooth transition to my smaller flat. I was told the only option available was Halo3+ (broadband + phone) at a cost of £53.99.
For 2 months I was paying my old property - higher - bill as for some reason BT hadn't closed down the move order - they had also included a land line and weekend calls, which I didn't want to continue with; this has taken several phone calls/online chats to resolve and meant that in the meantime I couldn't see my products or bills online. As of yesterday, I now can - 3 months later.
I notice that my Package says 'Broadband + Phone'. I don't have a phone line either analogue or digital. The phone number begins: 0331...
Does anyone think I am paying extra for a phone line I neither want nor would use? Have I been mis-sold a product that provides far more than I actually need? Should I have been told about alternative offers when re-contracting was discussed back in May?
Thanks for any advice/pointers.
To me it sounds as though your current product is a result of misselling, but there are several people on these forums who are going to disagree!
