Help with BT infrastructure informations and switch helps

Hello

im currently an virgin media customer unfortunately.

i mainly use the broadband for gaming purposes and unfortunately virgins latency is absolutely awful when it comes to online gaming.

I would like to switch to BT and I was told by someone that BT would be able to pay my virgins early disconnection fee off up to £300.

is this true ? And if it is true , how long do I have until I send proof of my last bill to BT?

Also how do I know if BT has FTTP broadband in my area? , in the website when I put my adress in , it says Full fibre available up to 900MBPs and is this full fibre 900 actual fibre to the premise using the very small fibre optic cable or is this fibre like virgins using the awful coax cable ?

im not sure because I thought FTTP meant they can provide you with symmetrical speed of upload and download kinda like city fibre and hyper optic etc etc

any information regarding my questions would be grateful, Thank you

@Mm82286

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

I do have information about the buy out.

Please read https://www.bt.com/broadband/contractbuyout

Full fibre installation info. Its a very thin cable.

To find out what is available.

Use the address checker on the page below, and post the results, but edit out your address details first.

@Mm82286

I think important part is it is by invitation only

'This offer is by invitation only to new BT Broadband customers signing up to any BT Broadband'
